The selected individual will work with volunteers to inspire a coordinated effort to attract and retain the interest of estate planners. Responsibilities include identifying and building relationships with prospective donors who have potential interest in including the American Cancer Society in their estate plans, as well as maintaining a high level of expertise in state and federal taxes, gift and estate giving methods, and legal aspects of charitable giving. Other areas of accountability will include securing gift commitments, evaluating non-cash gifts, managing the contact database, and otherwise taking action that will meet the production goals.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelors degree, and three years experience in planned giving, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated excellence in sales. Demonstrated excellence in cultivating and building relationships. Demonstrated knowledge of planned giving gift vehicles and methodologies. Demonstrated knowledge of tax laws (state and federal) and legal aspects related to charitable giving. Demonstrated ability to influence community and business leaders through strong presentation skills. Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated strong initiative and leadership skills; collaboration and integrated planning experience. Demonstrated ability to interact and build relationships with people at all levels of society. Ability to adapt to changing environment.
